Thank God, the groundhog didn't see his shadow, I don't know how much more of this I can take!I know many parts of the US are socked in by snow, but you folks up north by North East are used to this, Arkansas is NOT! We just received our 4th snowfall of the year and it was a loo-loo! At my house 8 inches accumulated in about that many hours. The weather service said we were averaging 1 to 1 1/2 inches per hour in near white-out conditions. Northern Arkansas got two feet! The state has screeched to a halt. Well except for the idiots who THINK they can drive on this and the poor emergency personnel who must rescue them when they discover they can't.
Spring can't come soon enough for me! And with spring comes exciting times. In April the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) will be sponsoring Arkansas Literary Festival.
Over 80 authors will be present for newbies to old pros, among them, our own Charlaine Harris! A press conference is upcoming to announce the full list. Please click the above link for full details.
I had hoped to be on that list, but alas, New York is taking its own sweet time getting back to me. But I will be there, have no fear! After all I am employed by CALS. (Besides, I tend to stalk Charlaine.)
