'Tis the Season 11/17/2011
The holidays are rapidly approaching and I am trying--rather unsuccessfully--to get into the spirit. Not that I am a Scrooge by any means, I believe the gift is in the giving--it's just I don't really have a special someone to lavish gifts upon. There are a lot of us out there. I'm not alone. So buck up and make the best of the season. Share a smile with a stranger, offer a kind word or helping hand to someone. Remember as you chase down the aisles searching for those precious gifts, the sales people and store staff have worked extra hours to make sure you can attain your goal. So if your checker is a little slow, the line a little long, the bagger seems harried, or you have to wait a bit for help toting your plunder to your car, don't forget those persons have been up since before dawn to make your shopping experience all it can be. Be patient, be kind, say thank you. 'Tis the season... Oh, and just in time for the holiday gifting season, Mr.Fix-it is going to print and will be available in paperback soon at Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and other sellers. Add Comment NaNo is winding down... 11/19/2010
Thank God! I expected to hit 40K or better this weekend, unfortunately I have to take the PC in for some service tomorrow. Hopefully that won't slow me down much. As most of you know I am stuck with dial-up here on the dark side of the moon. No one seems to care about us rural folks. Sure you can get broadband via satellite, but who has that kind of dough? Not me. To that end I got an "air card" unfortunately (again) I need new drivers installed in my PC to accommodate it. I wasted 3 hours today when I should have been writing trying to get the d@#$ thing to install. Everyone said it would be SOOOOOOO easy. Not on the dark side of the moon. Sorry to everyone who checked this morning for a new chapter of Tom's Story. I did write it...in my sleep...between work and NaNo, I just forgot to post it. Thanks for the reminders! Chapter 11 is up now on my Blogger site. You know the drill-- Home page--Free Reads--Click! Y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving! I'll be writing. Hugs and kisses guys! |
