A friend of mine got me a subscription to Red Book.  Now normally I don't read magazines, unless I am in the waiting room of a doctor or dentist, but I have to admit RB has some fantastic articles.  They are enlightening and funny as hell!  I'm all about funny these days.  Make me laugh and I'll love you forever.  Laughter helps counteract these dreary winter blahs as well as my total lack of love life.  But...enough about me.

One article was entitled, Vampires...Really?  Guys were asking questions about women, things they truly didn't understand about the superior sex.  They don't understand our fascination with vampires.  The explanation was a bit cliche for my taste. ( fangs = penetration = sex.  Blood loss = euphoric stupor = great orgasm.)  Not that it isn't inherently correct, but baby, that's not why they turn me on!

Okay, so more abut me.  (This may fall under the heading of TMI.  Feel free to cover your eyes.)  I am a neck girl.  Yep, from soft kisses behind my ear,  to full fledged bites on my shoulder,  the very thought makes me weak in the knees.  Little nibbles along the tendon (or is it a ligament?) running from my neck to my shoulder puts my motor in overdrive.  Vroom-Vroom!

Feel free to weigh in her boys and girls!  What melts your butter?

So fellas, don't knock those vamps--learn from them.  Oh, and there's always the femoral artery down south!  Vampires looking better to you yet, boys?

I have WAY too much time on my hands...

As most of you know, I'm a writer.  Well, I hope you know that!  Some life changes have slowed the process down to a crawl, but at the end of the day plots are still twisting through my mind.

As happens far too many times with us creative types, several ideas emerge at the same time.  Currently my choices of plot bunnies to chase include a futuristic, post apocalyptic space fantasy, a remake of an old fairy-tale, a contemporary fantasy about a virginal angel trying to get laid and book #4 of my Legacy Series which is about a different sort of vampire...or more exactly the human in the midst of them.

Yes, I can hear you saying, "vampires have been done to death."  I have reinvented the myth.  And mine don't rust, bust, collect dust OR sparkle in the sunshine.  So there!

All of these are works in progress.  I need to buckle down and finish one.  Which would you like to read first?

What time?  Tom time!  I added another chapter to Tom's Story last night.  So Take a break from NaNo and go read chapter 9.  Heh, if I had time to write it, you have time to read it.  Consider it a gift for all the hard work you have put in this week.  Click the Get Bit by My Free Reads link on my homepage to get redirected to my secure site.

I've been a busy little bee and have written 9505 words as of last night and expect to hit 11,200 before bedtime.  (If I get out of this blog and get to writing!)

So y'all have fun reading while I slave away at the keyboard.
